Dark Ages

The Dark Ages

The Dark Ages begin in approx. 476 AD and end in approx. 1000 AD
The Dark Ages were an extremely brutal and bloody time in the history of mankind where war and conquest was a normal way of life.  Different warlords rose and fell throughout this bloody time.  The crusades mercilessly killed thousands of people as ordered by the popes of the Catholic Church as a way for this church made in Rome to enforce control on humanity. (24. Riley-Smith, Jonathan. The Oxford History of the Crusades) Countless atrocities were committed in the name of Christianity. The Kingdom of Jesus Christ, in contrast, teaches to love everyone including our enemies and to do good deeds in exchange of evil ones out of a love for mankind who is made in the image of God. (25. The Bible:Matthew 5:43-48)
